What are your favourite MidoTaka fics^^?

leona-dracontis:

I’ve made a MidoTaka fanfic masterpost some time ago (I need to update it some time though…), so you can check that out firstly as I listed the fics I personally liked there according to their ratings.

As for my r-18 must-reads, I can suggest you check out THIS post. And my recs for multi-chapter fics where they don’t immediately get together but it takes them a while can be found HERE. I also suggest you check out my fanfiction tag where I reblog the fics I personally like there (though there are other pairings included in the tag, you just have to look for the midotaka ones).

And lastly, if you’d also be interested, my own writing can be found HERE (I mostly wrote MidoTaka).

Hope that helps! ❤

Does this mean there’s an alternate universe where Lin-Manuel Miranda is on the National Security Council?

No matter how much you shame and scare them, women will still come for abortions. Pretty recently I had this young woman, 15 maybe, and we did the procedure. I said, ‘Your uterus is empty, the procedure is over. I have to go check to make sure we got everything,’ and I left the room to examine the tissue. Then I came back and told her, ‘Everything’s fine, your uterus is healthy.’ And she said, ‘So … when are you going to use the steel ball?’ I picked my jaw up off the floor and said, ‘Steel ball?’ She said, ‘Well, I went to the crisis pregnancy center and they told me you’re going to put a steel ball that’s covered with sharp blades into my uterus and twirl it around.’ And this kid still came! I was thinking, How did you ever make yourself walk in the office believing I was going to do that?

BREAKING: WATER IS WET

THIS JUST IN – POISON CAN KILL YOU!?

And there were actually pretty huge differences in how men and women were affected by work. For men the upper healthy limit was pegged around 43.5 hours, whereas for women it was closer to 38.

That difference was made even more dramatic when considering that women are often expected to take care of household, unpaid work in addition to their hourly workload.

Teeny tiny linkspam on aromanticism

Someone asked for a teeny tiny linkspam on aromanticism, so here goes!  And by “here goes” I mean “I fell into a rabbit hole of links for like two and a half hours and emerged covered in mud and clutching this linkspam; I am so sorry; you probably did not care this much.”

Let’s start with the basics:

Let’s talk about (a)romantics by Intimacy Cartography

anagnori on internalizing anti-aromantic messages

Obligatory nudges toward wtfromanticism, greyromanticism, and demiromanticism, as there is a lot of overlap (one of the above pieces is written by a wtfromantic)

Haven’t read all of these so can’t vouch for how accurate/good they are, but looks like some good food for thought at least.

Someone sent me an ask about aromanticism earlier and I said I didn’t have any resources pulled together, but I forgot this was in my likes.

As above, I haven’t read all of them myself so I’m not sure whether I agree with all of them, but they at least provide a range of thoughts and opinions.
