Your kid calls you into their room one night, “There’s something under the bed.” You go down to check it out and upon inspection see your child under the bed and they whisper “I think theres a monster on the bed.”
“Knock it off and go to bed.” My children are twins. They’ve done this every day for a week. I’m tired.
It’s worth noting that Kenneth spent the entire episode making the game (and the subsequent fight) as inclusive as possible for JJ and his disabled friends (all of whom were played by disabled actors/actresses).
The “Dread Gazebo” is one of those inside jokes that everybody in the D&D/RPG community is supposed to know, but that makes it really hard to actually learn. Everyone references it, but nobody actually tells the original story. I played D&D for years before I got up the nerve to ask why everyone made jokes about gazebos.
