whitecometofakagi:

Kuroko no Basuke | one-shot | g/pg | Akashi x Furihata

He’s the top ranked high school point guard in Japan. So it’s only natural that everyone wants to know if Akashi Seijuro will continue to play basketball after high school. He’s only at the end of his second year, and yet he continues to hear this same tired question from his teammates, his coach at Rakuzan, his old friends from Teiko, and, of course, the media. But Akashi’s answer remains firm – basketball ends at the end of his third year. After that, he will focus his time on studying to become the next CEO of the Akashi Corporation.

He says it confidently, without hesitation. But Furihata Kouki suspects that there’s more going on in Akashi’s head than he cares to admit. So he decides to pose a new question. Instead of asking Akashi if he wishes to continue play basketball in college or professionally – a question Akashi seems to have a pre-prepared answer to – he tries a new question: “If this was your last day of basketball, how would you feel?”

Sure enough, Akashi is taken aback by this new way of looking at his life and his choices. He is being forced to think about the future not as a faraway thing that is already set in stone, but, rather, to look at it through the lens of his present emotions. Thus begins a conversation that will force Akashi to confront his true feelings about graduation, his ambitions, and his dreams, and could potentially change his life forever.

Give me a made-up fic title and I’ll tell you what I’d write to go with it

lia-nikiforov:

Crazy headcanon: At some point in the midst of the “The Wooing of Furihata Kouki” project and as part of his endless efforts to appear more approachable and less terrifying, Sei goes to one Izuki Shun and asks to be taught how to make jokes, with the results being as disastrous as one could imagine.

saru-pulver-artblog:

Well….I’m really sorry for the lack of updates lately but I’m kinda having an artblock right now, so please bear with me until it’s over _:(´□`」 ∠):_

but since it’s AkaFuri day, I thought I could do at least a sketch for them (yeah actually this wasn’t planned at all xD)

So Happy AkaFuri Day!! (although it’s almost over OTL)

fucklovingmeme:

once i came across a fic where furihata was third year captain and seirin had yet to beat rakuzan and so furiahta decided he was going to develop an extremely difficult technique specifically to combat akashi’s ankle break and dude it was so #inspired (but they deleted it)

and when you look at furihata’s wiki it says the play he has his eye on is the point guard from Seiho, the team with the strange footwork that keeps them more balanced and sturdy so what im Saying is that it would be a really cool direction for furihata to take: researching and learning from that and managing to go head to toe with akashi on an even playing field with his own technique

and my akafuri ass… would fucking love that head on rivalry

genderqueerfuri:

happy birthday castella-rays!!!!! i suppose our ccs au has something now lol

(this is also one of my entries into fuwa’s akafuri contest hella)

so uh. a hella load of context for y’all:

this au takes place after the events of the original cardcaptor sakura manga, where later in sakura’s life she chooses to free the cards, and they scatter across japan, reincarnating into people. The catch is that, at some point in their lives, these reincarnations will remember their former lives and reactivate their powers, temporarily going out of control. Kuroko is chosen as their caretaker, subduing them when out of control and helping them to cope with the new revelation.

Akashi Seijuurou, however, is tasked by his father, the head of the Akashi clan, to collect the reawakened cards under the belief that they are the rightful heir to the cards. Unlike Kuroko, once Akashi subdues an awakened card he collects them, making them serve him instead of setting them free.

After arriving in Tokyo, Akashi Seijuurou accidentally meets Furihata Kouki and ends up befriending him. When Furihata awakens as the reincarnation of the windy card, Furihata chooses to join Kuroko after he regains control, ruining the friendship (and tentative romance) they once had.

more stuff under the cut (hold tight friend this is gonna be a long post)

Just A Taste: KnB Fic (AkaFuri)

courtingstars:

You can also read this fic on Ao3.

A shamefully
late fic for @cerberosthehellguard, for the AkaFuri Secret Valentine exchange. Thanks so much for being so
patient with me, dear Niri! ❤️

Rating: PG (kissing)

Word Count:
8,000

Warnings: Toothache-inducing
couple. Poetry quotes, because nerds. Demisexual character. Tons of references
to Japanese traditions for Valentine’s Day. Mild angst, because this will
eventually be part of a larger story that spans decades. (… I have a problem. OTL)

Summary: For their first Valentine’s Day together, Furihata makes Akashi a batch of homemade chocolate. Akashi decides to reciprocate—and comes to a few realizations in the process.

A/N: Dear Niri, I
am so sorry your gift is so late! These last several months were hard for me,
but way more importantly, I wanted to make sure to give you the best gift I could. Which
meant that the idea for your fic somehow evolved into a gigantic project that’s
WAY bigger than anything I can finish this summer. OTL (It’s also full of
spoilers for things that happen in The Fast Train to Kyoto and its sequels.) So
instead, here’s the first fluffy chapter of that fic, which is also a
standalone story. And I’m going to return to this after I finish the
other AkaFuri fics I’ve told you about!

Anyway, I really hope
you like it, since you’re one of my favorite readers in the universe, and
an awesome friend. (I felt so lucky when I found out I would be writing for
you!) Your messages always brighten my day, so I hope this story brightens
yours. ❤

The first year, Furihata almost burned down his family’s
kitchen.

He should have known, he thought grimly, as he
surveyed the charred mess of chocolate swirled with fire extinguisher foam. He
wasn’t a bad cook, most of the time. In fact, he was probably the best in his
family, next to his mom.

But whenever Furihata attempted to make
something for Akashi Seijuurou, it always turned into some bizarre disaster.
Probably because he was trying way too hard. Psyching himself out. The usual dumb
crap.

Not that he could help it, really. Feeling some
pressure was kind of inevitable, when you were dating a guy like Akashi.
