A very basic guide to the world of NHL hockey for hockey-illiterate fanfiction writers.
I’m not a hockey expert by any means but I’ve seen a lot of people in the Check, Please! fandom kind of flounder a bit when it comes to including certain aspects of actual hockey in their fic.
I’m hoping this post helps clear up some of the common mistakes I’ve seen, and will give writers a point of reference for a topic that they may not be familiar with beyond the content of the webcomic.
